This week we were thrilled with our new topic; the Olympic games! We have been showjumping over ordinal numbers outside, counting the pins we knock down in bowling and trying to win board games by rolling the dice and counting our way to victory!
The Yellow group had a fun morning at the museum on Thursday. Thankfully the weather stayed dry and we had a great time. The children’s behaviour was excellent and we were complemented by the Museum staff. We were even praised by a gentleman on the return bus journey who said how much he had enjoyed Yellow group’s singing!

Despite the rainy weather, the Red group had a fantastic morning at the Manchester Museum on Wednesday. We travelled to the University campus by bus and enjoyed seeing all the animals and Stan the T-Rex.

This week in Reception we had a visit from the fire service to teach us about fire safety. We also got to see a fire engine and all the equipment onboard! We went on a dragon egg hunt and found lots of tiny tricky words inside them. We needed a magnifying glass to see them! We wrote our own knight’s code and sorted all the 3D shapes in the classroom too.
