On Wednesday we performed our sunflower songs for our families and it was the big launch of our school song composed with the help of the Royal Northern College of Music with the accompaniment performed by RNCM musicians. It was very exciting for the children and we would like to thank our parents for bringing in green tops and tee shirts for the children so that they looked the part. A couple of parents have asked “why green ?” It was simply to represent the stem and leaves of the sunflower. Thanks to all those parents who ordered tickets and came along to watch the event.

Nursery would like to say thank-you to our very special visitors. We had a special visit from 3 lovely babies on Wednesday. Adam’s Mum brought her lovely new baby girl, Hannah; Miss William brought in her lovely son, Parker and Miss Elle brought her lovely daughter, Evie. The Nursery children enjoyed seeing these three babies at different stages in their development from new baby to toddler. They asked lots of good questions which the Mums answered.

All the Nursery children and staff would like to say a big thank-you to Ala’s Mummy who brought in a special Polish dessert to celebrate the time from Fat Thursday to Fat Tuesday. Ala’s Mum asked if it would be okay to bring in some special chrusciki ‘angel wing’ pancakes for us to share and as we remembered this lovely treat from when Ola brought them into Nursery, we of course said “Yes please !”
This was a delicious treat enjoyed by everyone and we would like to say thanks.
We would like to thank Ciara’s parents for responding so quickly to our request for donations to develop our outdoor area. We needed car tyres for current and future projects developing our outdoor area and they brought in loads for us to use and really quickly-no sooner had we asked and they appeared !! Thanks very much from all the children and EYFS team.

Many thanks for your Children in Need Donations.

A big thank-you to all our Nursery parents for such a great turn-out for our first ‘stay and play’ of this academic year. We think you’ll agree that the children have settled well into their first half-term in school. We appreciate that some parents were unable to make this one but hope you can come along to other events !
