Messy Stay & Play

Messy Stay & Play

A huge thanks to all our parents and families for joining in our messy play morning. It was fantastic to see so many of you staying and so many of you joining in with an exciting range of sensory activities that included: gloop, potions, mud kitchen, scented play dough, water bombs, shaving foam, cloud dough and our daring texture walk which included walking through spaghetti, rice krispies and mushy peas !

A busy last week in Nursery !

A busy last week in Nursery !

We have had a very busy couple of weeks in Nursery. We continued to think about how we can improve our outside area and made plans of the area using the photographs we took ourselves. We have really enjoyed our work on ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and mini beasts. We made healthy caterpillars from cucumber and tomato and then ate them! We have enjoyed dressing-up as butterflies and ladybirds and even made a pictorial representation of the life cycle of a butterfly.

Nursery:Outdoor Learning Week

Nursery:Outdoor Learning Week

As part of our Outdoor Learning and Geography week, in Nursery we have been talking about all the improvements to our outside area. We went outside and the teachers and children took photographs of all the different areas. We talked about our favourite things to do, what we like doing in each area, how to keep our outdoor area tidy and what we could do to make our Outdoors even better ! The children’s ideas included: adding more dressing-up clothes, putting out some ‘bug food’ in the bug hotel, making potions and perfumes in the mud kitchen and being allowed to go in the big storage shed to choose toys. Our Outside Area on PhotoPeach
