Thanks to all our Nursery children and Parents for everything!!

Thanks to all our parents and careers for all your support this year. We have had a great time teaching your children and wish them well as they move on to new schools or to our Reception class.

Some special thank-yous to our parent Gardeners who volunteered to come and help clear the weeds in the raised beds. So thanks to Ala’s Mum, Destini’s Dad, Lyra’s Mum and Victor’s Mum. We really appreciate it!

Thanks to Ciara’s Mum for her fantastic buffet. For several years on the run she has made us a lovely buffet of sandwiches, salad, sausage rolls and other treats which we shared with Reception. The children loved their pirate and princess picnic !

Thanks to Ala’s Mum for her beautiful cake and her special strawberry and yogurt dessert which went down very well with all the children and teachers.. Thanks to Lyra’s Mum for the gorgeous malteser topped fairy cakes, which the children loved and ate before we had chance to take a picture.

Thanks for all your lovely, thoughtful: cards, chocolates and other surprises. We appreciate everything. have a lovely summer !!

EYFS:Pirate and Princess Day

EYFS:Pirate and Princess Day

Don’t forget boys and girls it’s our annual pirate & princess party day on Monday. Come to school dressed as a pirate, mermaid, prince or princess or a character on a similar theme. No need to go out and buy anything new! you can make a paper crown at home or make a pirate bandanna from an old headscarf ! Remember that as well as themed activities we will still have the usual things going on in Nursery and Reception so make sure your clothes are safe for school and that you are wearing sensible school shoes. Here are some pictures from last year to give you some ideas.

Reception: Sports Week!

Reception: Sports Week!

It was Sports Week in Reception and we enjoyed lots of physical exercise. We learnt a Brazilian Carnival dance, we played cricket with Mr. Stoneman and had a taekwondo lesson from a member of the UK taekwondo squad! We also saw the Olympic torch paraded around the school and we stood outside our classroom with flags and musical instruments cheering it on!

Nursery Blue Group at the Manchester Museum

The Blue group had an enjoyable morning at the museum on Friday, and like the Red group and Yellow group before them they behaved brilliantly! We all had a great time in the Living Worlds gallery, the Vivarium and meeting Stan the T-Rex.
